Siemens Gamesa has loaded the first of its 14MW nacelles at its plant in Cuxhaven for shipping to Ocean Winds’ 882MW Moray West wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
The project will feature 60 14.7MW turbines, and two offshore substation platforms.

Nexans completed the offshore export cable pull-ins for the project in March, while Chinese manufacturer Dajin Heavy Industry has delivered the first batch of three offshore towers earlier this month.
In February, Siemens Gamesa’s 108-metre blades for the project set sail from Hull in England.
