Vestas has secured a turbine order for 319MW wind project in Mexico.
Sempra Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Sempra, is developing the wind farm in Tecate, in the state of Baja California.
It is the third phase of the Energia Sierra Juarez Wind Complex that will have a total installed capacity of 582MW.
The order includes supply and installation of 46 V163-4.5MW units and 18 V162-6.2MW machines.
Turbine delivery is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024, while commissioning is expected for the fourth quarter of 2025.
Vestas will also service the hardware under a 10-year agreement.
