Trade group Scottish Renewables is to launch the Energy Transition Showcase next month in Glasgow.
The event is designed to “connect and engage businesses with the country’s £10bn-a-year transition to clean energy” and attract new entrants into Scotland’s clean energy sector.
Scottish Renewables chief executive Claire Mack said: “This is a brand-new event for us: a new format, a new venue and a new chance to get businesses from across the economy involved in our transition to a clean energy system.
“Renewables already support 42,000 jobs in Scotland, contributing more than £10bnn to the economy. The scale of the growth that we need to meet our climate change targets means there is enormous opportunity for businesses from across the economy to get involved.
“Scotland’s Energy Transition Showcase provides a place for organisations old and new to come together for an immersive afternoon of insights and discussions on our rapidly evolving energy system.
“Delegates should come with open minds and will leave inspired, with the ideas and information they need to set their businesses on a profitable and productive path to net-zero.”
The event will be held on March 19 at Platform.
It will include exhibitions, networking opportunities, expert speakers and a Showcase dinner.
Matthieu Hue, chief executive at event sponsor EDF Renewables, added: “Scotland is uniquely placed to contribute to the vital global mission of reaching net-zero.
“This conference provides all of us who are at the forefront of this endeavour with a unique and invaluable opportunity to share insights which we can all learn and benefit from.
“It is an opportunity to inspire one another and create robust actions for the whole industry to accelerate our journey to net zero.”
