French developer Valorem has signed a cooperation agreement with Tribrid for the co-development of 1GW of wind and solar projects in Sweden.
The partnership represents a “significant development” for Valorem as it expands its activities in a new country and strengthens its overall presence in Northern Europe.
Valorem’s expansion strategy in Sweden is built upon the collaboration with its trusted local partner, chosen for its experience and expertise in the region said the developer.
Valorem chief operating officer Philippe Tavernier said: “Valorem’s entry into Sweden is a strategic move that aligns with our growth strategy and serves to further consolidate our presence in the Nordics, already established with a substantial portfolio in Finland.
“The partnership with Tribrid holds promises and we are enthusiastic to collaborate in order to meet the strong demand for electricity expected in Sweden over the next few years.
“We are proud to be taking an active role in the country’s energy transition. We will contribute to develop competitive, local and reliable renewable energy in close cooperation with local communities.”
Chief executive and partner of Tribrid Carl-Christian Bohl said: “We are eager to cooperate with Valorem, a company that has been a pioneer in renewable energy and a key player in France for 30 years.
