SeaRenergy Offshore Holding has been awarded the marine coordination service contract for EnBW’s 960MW He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm in the German North Sea.

After participating in the competitive European Tender bidding process, followed by a thorough and in-depth bid evaluation, SeaRenergy was chosen to provide services during the construction phase of the wind farm.

This kicked off on 1 December 2023 to ensure a smooth operational commencement in the first quarter of 2024.

SeaRenergy’s comprehensive marine coordination service encompasses ship registration, personnel registration and check-in, inspection, and construction site monitoring based on a vessel traffic management and maritime surveillance systems provided by long-term partner Vissim AS.

SeaRenergy’s team of marine coordinators will be based in Hamburg and stationed at the EnBW office, with full access to back-office expertise and knowledge consisting of QHSE and project management.

The preparatory phase will include preliminary works such as document preparation and updates, hardware and software setup, and personnel training.

The marine coordination service is scheduled to commence in April 2024 and is to continue through December 2025.

During this period, SeaRenergy’s primary responsibilities will involve monitoring and coordinating ship movements and facilitating communication with vessels at the offshore construction site.

The He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm, set to become operational by the end of 2025, comprises 64 wind turbines and is located approximately 90 kilometres northwest of Borkum and 110 kilometres west of Helgoland.

This wind farm features 64 Vestas V236-15 turbines mounted on monopile foundations and has the capacity to generate an impressive 3.6bnkWh of electricity annually.

The new project will be an addition to SeaRenergy’s running marine coordination project St Brieuc executed for AMS in France.

SeaRenergy Offshore Holding is honoured to contribute to this groundbreaking project and looks forward to a successful partnership with EnBW as both partners work on expanding the production of energy from renewable sources.
