The Correll Group’s electrical engineering division has secured a contract with Hellenic Cables for the termination and testing of the inter-array cables on the turbines and offshore substation for the 704MW Revolution Wind Offshore Wind Farm.
Revolution Wind, a joint venture between Orsted and Eversource, is due to come into operation in 2025, providing 400MW of 100% renewable energy to Rhode Island and 304MW to Connecticut.
The wind project is located approximately 15 miles south of the Rhode Island coast, 32 miles southeast of the Connecticut coast and 12 miles southwest of Martha’s Vineyard.
Upon completion, Revolution Wind will power more than 350,000 homes across Rhode Island and Connecticut.
Additionally, it is projected to offset approximately six million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually.
