Vestas has received turbine orders for two wind projects in the US totalling 302MW.
One is for 135MW, which consists of 30 V163-4.5 MW turbines, for an undisclosed project in the country,
The project has been developed by Steelhead Americas, Vestas’ North American development arm.
The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a 20-year servicing agreement.
Steelhead Americas led all development efforts including permitting, land acquisition, and construction design to deliver the customer a project that is ready for construction and installation.
Turbine delivery begins in third quarter of 2024 with commissioning scheduled for 2025.
The other is for 167MW, comprising 45 V150 turbines from the 4MW platform, for another undisclosed project in the USA.
The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year servicing agreement.
Turbine delivery begins in the second quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
