Boskalis’ Bokalift1 has installed the first offshore substation platform at Ocean Winds’ 882MW Moray West offshore wind farm.
The complex heavy lift operations in the Port of Nigg and on-site were completed successfully and safely, Ocean Winds said.
The previously laid export cable will now be pulled into the platform, as offshore commissioning starts, it added.
As Bokalift1 moves on to install the second platform, Bokalift2 continues to install monopiles on site, subject to the winter weather.
