Greencoat UK Wind has completed its acquisition of a 49.9% interest in the Kype Muir Extension wind farm from Banks Renewables.
The 67.2MW project is based in South Lanarkshire, and will add an additional 15 turbines to the existing 88.4MW Kype Muir wind farm.

The company committed to acquire the interest in December 2020 and investment was made by the company during construction by way of a loan, which has now been repaid.
The completed acquisition takes the company’s net generating capacity to over 2GW.
