A board of directors for GE Vernova has been selected marking its progress towards becoming independent of GE.
The directors bring a “strong mix of domain expertise, diverse perspectives, and leadership experience to help GE Vernova lead the energy transition”.
Scott Strazik (pictured) will serve as chief executive of GE Vernova and former chief executive of Linde Stephen Angel will serve as non-executive chairman.
The rest of the board comprises former chairman and chief executive of AEP Nicholas Akins, former president and chief executive of Carnival Arnold Donald, founding partner of Global Infrastructure Partners Matthew Harris, chief financial officer of Lockheed Martin Jesus Malave, chief executive PreferWest and former chief executive of Safeco and AGL Resources Paula Rosput Reynolds, former general counsel at Andeavor and Kraft Foods Group Kim Rucker and former Shell chief financial officer Jessica Uhl.
Strazik said: “Our board for GE Vernova brings together multi-dimensional energy transition leadership and strong management and governance experience.
“This is another important step forward toward spinning off GE Vernova as a standalone company focused on electrifying and decarbonizing the world.”
