Uniper, together with local partner Callis Zrt, has developed 280MW of solar capacity in Hungary to reach ready-to-build status.
The six projects have all necessary permits and can be connected to the grid in 2026 or 2027.
Between 2023 and 2024, Uniper will complete extensive preliminary studies (topography) to ensure the smooth execution of the sites.
In addition to these six projects, the company is participating in the current tender for network capacities in Hungary.
The aim is to secure grid connectivity for Uniper’s own projects, thereby reinforcing the company’s commitment to providing clean and sustainable energy to the Hungarian market.
The developer will continue to work closely with local communities, authorities and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and mutually beneficial transition to renewable energy.

Uniper announced a new strategy on 1 August 2023 and will support the necessary transformation of the energy industry through flexible, balanced and customised forms of energy generation.
In total, more than €8bn is to be invested in growth and transformation between 2023 and 2030, including investments in solar and wind power plants, where significant growth is targeted.
Uniper plans to end coal-fired electricity production by 2029 at the latest.
