Vestas adds extra 1.2GW of orders to end third quarter

Vestas has signed deals to supply an additional 1220MW of onshore and offshore wind turbines to projects across Europe and the US.

The company secured a 960MW order for 64 V236-15.0MW wind turbines for EnBW’s He Dreiht offshore wind project in the German North Sea.

Installation is planned to begin in the second quarter of 2025, and commissioning is scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.

Onshore wins include a 62MW order from Burgerwind Beuchte for the Beuchte wind farm in Lower Saxony, Germany, consisting of ten V162-6.2MW turbines. Vestas will deliver the turbines from the second quarter of 2024 with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Vestas also received its first firm order for a prototype of the V162-7.2MW wind turbine, from Burgerwindpark for the Janneby wind project in Schleswig-Holstein. The order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of one V162-7.2MW turbine with delivery expected in the first quarter of 2024 and commissioning scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2024.

In Italy, Vestas will supply 18 V150-4.2MW wind turbines as part of a 76MW order for an undisclosed project and customer.

Turbine delivery is expected for the first quarter of 2024 ahead of planned commissioning in fourth quarter of 2024.

In addition, Vestas will provide Sanko Holding with four V162-6.2MW wind turbines for the Akyel wind farm, to be located in the Karaman Region, Turkiye. Delivery is planned for the first half of 2024, whilst commissioning is expected for the fourth quarter of 2024.

Finally, Vestas received a 90MW order to repower an undisclosed wind project in the US with 20 V150-4.5MW wind turbines.

Turbine delivery begins in the second quarter of 2024 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024.
