SBM Offshore has delivered and installed the first floating wind unit to the Provence Grand Large floating wind project off France.
The unit has been delivered to the site 17km off the coast of Marseille.

SBM Offshore pre-deployed the anchor piles and moorings lines in August 2023.
In September it then completed the hook-up of the first floater and its 8.4MW turbine, connecting all mooring lines to the unit.
All of these operations were managed by SBM Offshore and executed using its construction vessel Normand Installer.
EDF Renewables and Maple Power are developing the pilot floating wind project.
