Orsted has reached a milestone with the installation of the offshore substation at the Gode Wind 3 Offshore Wind Farm in Germany.
The hardware was successfully installed 30km off the island of Norderney. Here, all the energy produced by the 23 wind turbines will be collected and converted.

The site will have a capacity of 253MW, and together with Borkum Riffgrund 3, which is also under construction, it will be able to supply the equivalent of 1.2m German households with green power.
Gode 3 is Orsted’s fifth offshore wind farm in the country.
