Siemens Gamesa said there may be delays to turbine shipments as a technical review into hardware problems continues.
The manufacturer said there could be a “slight delay” for some orders when asked about reports that the company wants to push back delivery dates by as long as seven months.
Bloomberg reported the hold-ups to 4.X and 5.X shipments, citing unnamed sources.
A Siemens Gamesa spokesperson said: “Prior to delivering to the customer, we naturally try to eliminate possible problems – this may in individual cases mean a slight delay, but it does not have to be.”
Parent Siemens Energy is to publish results next week and will give an update on the situation at the troubled turbine unit.
Siemens Energy withdrew profit guidance for Siemens Gamesa in June after disclosing the latter’s onshore unit will likely book additional costs of over €1bn associated with quality issues.
The “significantly” higher hit “than previously assumed” was took “to reach the targeted product quality of certain onshore platforms”, the German company said.
