The Danish Energy Agency is to hold a market dialogue on 10 August on a potential transition for the open door scheme for offshore wind projects.
On 1 February 2023 the Danish Energy Agency suspended the offshore open door procedure until further clarification regarding the scheme’s conflict with EU law.
The Danish Energy Agency has been working on an adjustment of the open door approach, so that it complies with EU regulations.
Following the political agreement on Denmark’s Marine Plan produced on 7 June 2023, three potential offshore wind turbine projects, Kadetbanke, Paludan Flak and Vikinge Banke, can apply for a possible adjusted arrangement.
The Danish Energy Agency is working on clarifying the legal and technical possibility of a transition approach for the open door scheme and is seeking the industry’s input and views, which can be used in preparing the procedure.
On 10 August the dialogue will be hosted the agency’s headquarters in Copenhagen and it will l also be possible to participate online.
