European Energy has signed a PPA with plastic manufacturer Faerch Group for its three UK plants.
Under the terms of the PPA, Faerch will purchase 100% of the electricity generated by European Energy’s 40MW Bubney solar farm (pictured), located in the county of Shropshire, 80km south of Liverpool.
With this PPA, which has a 10-year term,and is scheduled to commence in 2025, Faerch Group will have access to a renewable power supply, reducing its carbon footprint and contributing to a greener future.
Gregor McDonald, head of energy trading and PPA’s at European Energy, said: “We are thrilled to announce this PPA with Faerch, which marks another significant milestone in our UK operations.
“By joining forces with forward-thinking companies like Faerch Group, we can further our mission of decarbonizing the energy sector and creating a more sustainable future for all.”
