Energy giant Shell has bought 12 Spanish solar projects totalling 1100MW from Spanish player Isemaren.
The sites are located in different regions across the country and comes following a Framework Agreement signed between the consultancy firm specialising in green investment and ecological transition and Shell in 2022.
“Bringing these assets into our portfolio strengthens our presence in one of Europe’s largest solar power markets,” said Shell global renewable generation vice president Thomas Brostrøm.
“Thanks to everyone involved for making this possible,” he added.
Shell Spain chairman and business manager Óscar Fernández also welcomed the deal: “It’s exciting news and further strengthens Shell’s presence and portfolio in Spain, one of Europe’s largest solar power markets.”
