An inauguration ceremony has been held for the 376MW Formosa 2 offshore wind farm, off Taiwan.
The ceremony was held at the Waipu fishing port in Miaoli to celebrate the construction of the offshore wind farm.

Despite challenging weather conditions, the wind farm’s 47 8MW Siemens Gamesa turbines were installed earlier this year, followed by grid connection in March.
In April Formosa 2 generated all of its 376MW of capacity for the first time.
Inauguration has taken place following comprehensive testing of the facility.
Formosa 2 has been jointly developed by JERA (49%), Macquarie’s Green Investment Group (26%) and Swancor Renewable Energy (25%).
