Nordex has received a 106MW turbine order for a wind farm project in Lithuania.
The manufacturer has signed a contract with E energija to supply and install 16 of its N163/6.X wind turbines for the project in Kelme.
Turbine delivery will begin in 2024, with commissioning scheduled in the same year.
The turbine contract is for the first phase of the E-Wind project, in Kelme district.
The project is planned to eventually reach 300MW.
In late March the contract for the foundations was awarded to UAB Merko Statyba, part of AS Merko Ehitus group.
Nordex and E energija have also signed a long-term service agreement for the maintenance of the turbines.
Established in 1994, E energija group develops, builds and operates renewable energy projects in Lithuania and neighbouring countries.
The developer built 70MW built last year and has 300MW under construction, as part of its target of delivering up to 2GW renewables capacity by 2030.
