Atlantic Green UK, a JV between Interland (25%) and Nofar Energy (75%) has acquired its third battery energy storage project.
The new unnamed project (260MWh), which will add to its Cellarhead (700MWh) and Buxton (60MWh) projects, brings Atlantic Green UK’s total energy storage capacity to over 1GWh in the UK.

The latest project adds further capacity to store clean energy and feed it into the national grid during periods of high demand, stabilising the grid and supporting the integration of renewables into the energy mix.
Howard Kennedy’s Energy team advised Atlantic Green on all legal aspects of the project acquisition, including the negotiation and drafting of the land and SPA contracts and the grid connection arrangements.
