Siemens Gamesa’s UK factory has begun production of the first 108-metre-long wind turbine blade.
The turbine manufacturer said it has doubled output at the Hull facility over the past year.

This has allowed its team to scale up manufacturing and produce these blades for the SG 14-222 DD turbine.
RWE’s Sofia offshore wind farm will feature 100 SG 14-222 DD machines when it is fully commissioned in 2026.
