Energa Green Development has obtained permits to build 65MW worth of power as part of the first stage of the Mitra photovoltaic farm.
The Mitra solar farm is being built in Przykona, in the Wielkopolskie Voivodeship, on revitalised post-mining areas.
According to estimates, the farm will be able to produce energy that is able to power over 30,000 households per year. households. The farm will be built on land belonging to Energa in the commune of Przykona, in the Turek poviat (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship), recultivated after the discovery of lignite in the Adamow mine.
Currently, a procedure is underway to select a contractor for the facility, with the start of construction works planned for the middle of this year.
The solar farm is currently the largest photovoltaic project being implemented by Energa, a member of the ORLEN Group.
“The Mitra photovoltaic farm is Energa’s third large photovoltaic investment after the incorporation of the Gdansk group into the structures of the ORLEN concern.
“We are entering the next stage of this investment, and we expect that after concluding the contract with the contractor, the construction of its first stage will take just over a year,” said Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of PKN ORLEN .
