The connection of wind parks Ouro Branco II in Brazil and Telsiai I in Lithuania to the grid means thatEuropean Energy has reached the milestone of having 1GW of renewable energy capacity under ownershipfor the first time in the company’s history.
In 2022, European Energy grid connected more than 600MW of renewable energy capacity. The produced electricity from these owned assets provides enough electricity to approximately 200,000 homes, corresponding to roughly to 400,000 tonnes of CO2.
“We have just finished the most extensive annual construction program in the history of European Energy,” said European Energy CEO Knud Erik Andersen.
“In the past year we took the FID on 839MW of renewable energy capacity. Considering the tremendous hard work of our staff, there is no reason why we should not exceed that in 2023.”
