NTR has completed its final acquisition, of a 46MW French wind portfolio, for NTR Renewable Energy Income Fund 2.
The Momerstroff wind portfolio in the Grand Est region of the country was acquired from EcoJoule and Eolec, both companies belongin to German developer DeanGruppe.
The portfolio consists of two projects.
Momerstroff 1 has been operational since 2006 and consists of five turbines, with a total capacity of 11.5MW, while Momerstroff 2 is in late development phase with commercial operations expected to start in the first quarter of 2026.
Once operational, the project will consist of 10 turbines, with a capacity of 34.5MW.
The Momerstroff portfolio is one of NTR’s five projects in France, contributing to a total capacity of 113.5MW.
Anthony Doherty, Chief Investment Officer at NTR, said: “With France’s National Assembly recently approving the country’s Renewable Energy Acceleration Bill, steps are being taken towards accelerating the deployment of renewable energy.”
LPA GCR acted on behalf of the fund with Natural Power providing technical advice, while Ravetto Associés acted as legal advisor on behalf of EcoJoule and Eolec.
