Vos Prodect has been chosen to supply offshore cable accessories for the 350MW WindplanBlauw wind farm in the Netherlands.
Vos Prodect has been contracted by cable supplier TKF and will provide all Cable Hang-Off systems for offshore installation. It will also supply its Onshore Landing Clamps, designed to keep the submarine cable safely secured onshore.
Located in the IJsselmeer in the north-west corner of Flevoland, Windplanblauw is being developed by Vattenfall and SwifterwinT and will feature both offshore and onshore wind turbines.
The new wind farm will replace 74 turbines, creating space for 61 new, more powerful machines that should eventually generate enough power to provide electricity to over 1m Dutch citizens.
The installation of the turbines started last year and are expected to be operational by early 2023.
