Italian developer ERG has brought online its 92MW Creag Riabhach onshore wind farm in northern Scotland.
The Highland project features 22 Enercon E115 turbines with 4.2MW capacity.
They will at full potential be capable of producing 271GWh annually, according to the company.
A “large amount” of the electricity generated will be sold to ENGIE UK Markets under a 10-year power purchase agreement.
ERG chief executive Paolo Merli said: “The energisation of the Creag Riabhach wind farm marks another important step in the group’s growth in the United Kingdom, where we have increased the installed renewable capacity by around 250MW during the last year in line with the targets of our 2022-2026 business plan.”
It follows the completion of ERG’s 86MW Sandy Knowe wind farm in Dumfries and Galloway towards the end of 2022.
