Finnish renewables developer Ilmatar Energy has appointed Antti Sallila as the company’s new chief financial officer.
Sallila will take up his new role on 16 January 2023.
He has previously worked as senior vice president for strategy and M&A at Finland’s Helen Group.
Ilmatar Energy chief executive Juha-Pekka Weckström said: “Ilmatar has transformed itself in a short space of time from an energy project developer to an independent producer of emission-free electricity.
“Our goals of stronger growth, internationalisation and a new scale of operations all require strong expertise in financing and in mergers and acquisitions – and this within a context where the demand for emission-free electricity and the transformation of the entire energy sector are accelerating throughout Europe.”
“I am excited to start work as CFO of a significant Finnish growth company.
“At Ilmatar, I will be able to harness my previous experience in financing and M&A. We are well positioned to expand our operations outside of Finland and into new business areas,” Sallila said.
