Offshore Construction Associates (OCA) has opened a new office in Taipei to expand its support services to the offshore wind industry in Taiwan.
The move is also aimed at increasing the company’s global footprint of specialist management consultancy services focusing exclusively on offshore wind.
As Taiwan is a pioneer in the Asian market, it has huge potential for further growth. Having worked on several projects in the region over the past two years, OCA’s team of friendly experts with a deep technical understanding and experience are looking forward to offering further support by leveraging its global expertise and having a local presence for the benefit of projects in this region.
With the Round 3 project award results for a further 9GW of capacity in Taiwan soon to be announced, as well as plans to hold an auction for pilot floating wind arrays towards the end of the year, OCA is well placed and prepared to offer successful developers a wide range of advisory and support services to their projects.
OCA country manager for Taiwan Tom Ivey commented: “Opening an office in Taiwan gives us the opportunity to replicate our success in recruiting locally based consultants who are able to harness the knowledge, best practice and learnings gained from projects elsewhere in the world from the wider OCA team and apply them to this developing market.”
