Baltic Power has chosen Vestas as the preferred turbine supplier for the 1200MW Baltic Power offshore wind farm off Poland.
Vestas will provide 76 V236-15.0 MW turbines for the Baltic Power project which is located 23km off the coast of the Polish Baltic Sea shoreline, near Leba.
Once completed, this will be the largest wind project in Poland.
Baltic Power is a joint venture between PKN Orlen SA and Northland Power Inc.
If and when the agreement with Baltic Powers materialises into a firm order, Vestas will disclose this in a company announcement in accordance with the company’s disclosure policy, it said.

President of the PKN Orlen Management Board Daniel Obajtek added: “The construction of Baltic Power represents one of Poland’s first offshore wind farms and is currently one of the most important projects implemented by the ORLEN Group.
“Commercial operations are expected to begin in 2026 and will strengthen the energy security of the Polish economy. We want to use the knowledge and experience gained in the Baltic Power project to implement further investments in the Baltic Sea. When selecting cooperation partners, we pay attention to how their involvement will translate not only into our project but also into building a local value chain for the entire offshore wind energy sector.”

By signing the contract, we have created the foundation for realising the Baltic Power Wind Farm jointly with PKN Orlen.
