Cleantech start-up ANNEA is expanding into the offshore wind market with its predictive maintenance platform
The company claims to enable wind turbine operators to reduce their operating costs by 50% while increasing annual energy production by 15% without installing additional hardware.
Intelligent fault predictions and prescriptive actions help avoid unplanned downtime and underperformance of onshore and offshore wind turbines, added the outfit.
ANNEA delivers digital twin technology and uses the existing sensors and data sources to feed data into the digital twin and create a digital copy of the system and its components for analysis and forecasts.
The move has been supported by €1m investment from venture capital companies Bernhard Schulte Innoport and Faber Ventures.
“Through our shareholder Innoport, which belongs to the Schulte Group, we are connected to the company WINDEA Offshore from Hamburg and are pleased to have WINDEA at our side with their excellent network and extensive expert knowledge as a strong partner for sales in the offshore wind sector to have,” said Marcel Frenzel, Managing Director of ANNEA.
