Siemens Gamesa has confirmed a firm order to supply turbines for Orsted and Eversource’s 924MW Sunrise Wind offshore wind project in the US.
The turbine manufacturer said in a stock exchange listing it will supply 84 11MW machines for the project off Montauk Point, New York.

The signing of the deal firms up an earlier preferred supplier agreement.
Siemens Gamesa said it will book the order in its fourth-quarter results.
The wind farm is expected online in 2025, subject to completing permitting.
