Indian renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon Group has secured a new order for 86 turbines from Sembcorp’s renewables subsidiary Green Infra Wind Energy Limited.
The 2.1MW turbines will be installed at a 180.6MW wind power project in Kanakagiribad, in the Indian state of Karnataka, which is expected to be commissioned in 2024.
Under the agreement, Suzlon will supply the wind turbines (equipment supply) and execute the project including, erection and commissioning.
It will also provide comprehensive operation, and maintenance services post commissioning, the company said.
Suzlon Group chief executive Ashwani Kumar said: “This is a third repeat order from Sembcorp.
