Financial advisor Green Giraffe has opened an office in Sydney to support the energy transition in Australia and New Zealand.
The Oz team is led by Marcus Dixson, who brings 14 years’ renewable energy and infrastructure advisory experience from his previous roles as a Director at IDCM and EY.
The Sydney office will work closely with all existing Green Giraffe teams around the world to support both inbound and outbound investment, as well as with our partner Daiwa Securities Group, said the advisory outfit.
The full scope of Green Giraffe services, including development equity, M&A, debt advisory, tender PPA and strategic support, will be offered across all renewable and energy transition technologies, including solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, storage and hydrogen.
Managing director Matthew Taylor said: “We are delighted to be launching our full range of services in Australia with a physical presence in Sydney, backed by the team in Singapore and across the world.
“Compared to most OECD member states, Australia is relatively early in its energy transition and starts from a position of heavy coal reliance to power an energy intensive economy. The opportunity for Australia is therefore great, not only in terms of decarbonising its economy but also importantly in terms of creating new jobs and investment.”
