WPD Windmanager has reached a milestone with 6GW of wind and solar capacity under management.
In commercial and technical operations management, the German company is now responsible for 6011MW of renewables capacity worldwide.
Two years ago WPD Windmanager passed the 5GW mark.
“In the last two years, we have grown enormously.
“The German market has regained momentum.
“But we have also added a large number of new projects internationally,” said Till Schorer, Director Customer Relations at Wpd windmanager.
“The 6GW is an important milestone for us. There are not many operations managers in the market with comparable volumes.”
The bulk of the 6GW is in Germany, where WPD Windmanager manages over 3500MW of capacity for fund companies, municipal utilities, operators and investors.
The international share is also increasing, with 2500MW distributed among various target markets in Europe, Asia and South America.
“In the future, the international area will grow even more significantly,” said Henning Rüpke, Director International Operations.
France is the next largest market after Germany with 590MW, while Poland is showing the largest growth for WPD Windmanager, which now manages around 400MW in the country up from 95MW four years ago.
