German developer ABO Wind has sold a 515MW Canadian wind project to an undisclosed investor.
The 514.6MW Buffalo Plains project, in Alberta, has reached ready-to-build status, securing permits from the Alberta Utility Commission.
The wind farm will host 83 Siemens Gamesa turbines with a capacity of 6.2MW each.
The permits for the project have become fully effective, said ABO Wind.
The investor is planning to publish a report about its Canadian activities in late August and will opt to remain anonymous until then.
The wind farm is expected to create 300 jobs while under construction as well as up to 15 permanent jobs.
