Vattenfall underlying underlying earnings from its wind business grew over 94% in the second quarter of 2022, compared with the same period of 2021, buoyed by high electricity prices and new capacity.
The Swedish energy company reported underlying EBITDA of more than Skr3.3bn (€319m) in Q2, up from just under Skr1.71bn last year.
Net sales increased to over Skr5.0bn between April and June 2022 from more than Skr2.8bn in same period last year.
Electricity generation was 2.3 terrawatt-hours (TWh), up from 2.2TWh in the period in 2021.
Underlying EBITDA for the first six months of 2022 was Skr9.68bn, compared with Skr4.77bn in the first half of last year.
Net sales in the wind business for the first half of the year were almost Skr13bn, up from just over Skr7.04bn in 2021.
