Acciona Energia has started construction of two wind farms in Croatia with a combined capacity of 72MW.
The projects are the 45MW Boraja 2 and 27MW Opor, which have 12-year Contracts for Difference (CfDs) with the Croatian electricity and gas regulator Hrvatski Operator Trzista Energy (HROTE).

The CfDs have been assigned through a public auction as part of a programme launched by the Croatian government and HROTE.
Opor and Boraja 2 will represent an investment of close to €100m and will be built in the Split-Dalmatia and Sibenik-Knin regions, respectively, Acciona Energia said.
They will feature 16 Nordex 4.5MW turbines that will generate 203 gigawatt-hours of electricity a year.
They are scheduled to come online in 2024.
