Vestas secured two turbine deals totalling 527MW in Brazil and the US as the second quarter of 2022 drew to a close.
In Brazil, the company booked a 261MW order for the Serra das Almas wind park, which is located at the municipality of Urandi in the state of Bahia.
The order, placed by EDF Renewables, includes the supply and installation of 58 V150-4.5MW turbines as well as 28-year active output management (AOM 4000) service agreement.
The hardware will be locally produced under the Brazilian Development Bank Finame rules.
In the US, a 266MW contract was won with Omega Energia for the Goodnight 1 project in Texas.
The order consists of 59 V136-4.5MW turbines, as well as a 30-year AOM 5000 service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset.
The contract includes supply and commissioning of the turbines.
Delivery begins in the second quarter of 2023 with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of the same year.
