ESB has published a series of Prior Indicative Notices (PINs) aimed at developing the supply chain to support the delivery of its offshore wind projects in various locations around Ireland.
The purpose of each notice is to offer suppliers the opportunity to engage with ESB across a number of key packages.
The packages include turbine supply, foundations, electrical infrastructure, including export cables and substations, and marshalling harbours.
ESB has a portfolio of projects at various stages of concept and development.
The developer said that it recognises that the successful delivery of each project will depend on close collaboration between many supply chain partners.
Projects in development include Clogherhead (Co Louth), Seastacks (Co Dublin), Loch Garman (Wexford), Helvick Head (Waterford), Celtic (East Cork) and Moneypoint (Co Clare).
Following submission of expressions of interest, ESB will begin a series of formal engagements with potential suppliers.

ESB’s strategy, “Driven to Make a Difference: Net Zero by 2040”, sets out to deliver a fivefold increase in the energy company’s renewable generation portfolio underpinned by investment in offshore wind.
Ireland’s geographic location on the exposed edge of the Atlantic presents it with a “significant opportunity” to generate electricity from wind – both offshore and onshore, said the company.
