Chartwell Marine has hired Dave Quested in a sales and business development role, and Rob Sime as principal naval architect.
Together they will support the commercialisation of Chartwell’s advanced vessel designs across the global offshore wind, leisure, and commercial marine sectors.
Sime has worked on the design and testing of high-performance vessels across the defence, yachting, ferry, workboat and offshore energy markets, having previously held senior positions at BMT and BAE Systems.
Quested is an offshore wind industry veteran, having been involved in the crew transfer vessel market since 2009.
He is a founding member of offshore wind vessel designer and builder CTruk and he co-launched and steered the growth of vessel operator and service provider CWind.
In his new role, Quested will be supporting sales strategy across global markets including Europe, the US and Asia, building on relationships forged throughout his career.
The duo arrive as Chartwell moves to new premises in Port Hamble to support team growth and improve waterside access for clients, and prepares to launch a new expanded offshore wind vessel range internationally.
