EiDF Solar has reached an agreement with the IKAV investment fund, through its IEI II Global Infrastructure Investments vehicle, to finance 30 solar farms with a combined capacity of 48MW.
These are the first parks to be launched by Spanish solar developer EiDF.
Under the agreement, IKAV will contribute a total of €13m as an investment partner of EiDF Generación.
EiDF strengthened its generation unit last year to accelerate its vertical integration plans based on the complementing of three activities: self-consumption, generation and marketing.
The energy produced in the parks built and operated by EiDF will be used for its commercialisation area, reinforced after the acquisition of ODF Energía.
The company’s portfolio of generation projects exceeds 1000MW.
However, it continues to analyse investment opportunities that allow it to expand its pipeline with other projects at an advanced stage of development, EiDF said.
