Albioma has confirmed it is in “preliminary discussions” with KKR after a media report suggested the latter is looking to acquire the French renewables business.
Albioma, which made its statement following an article by Bloomberg, added that there is “no certainty” the discussions will succeed.

The listed developer and operator is active in France, overseas France, Mauritius and Brazil.
Its portfolio includes 889MW of biomass across 16 plants and 109MW of solar plants.
Albioma’s latest business line in geothermal following its acquisition last year of the Gumuskoy plant in Turkey.
