Marine consultancy Waves Group has provided marine warranty surveyor services for the construction of the 78MW Hiep Thanh nearshore wind farm in Vietnam.
The company said that the project’s nearshore construction is now complete and Hiep Thanh will be commissioned in the first quarter of the year.
Waves Group’s scope of work included the installation of foundations, turbines, array cables and nearshore marine works.
The project was managed from its Singapore office with the support of the company’s London team.
Hiep Thanh is located off the coast of Tra Vinh province and comprise 18 Siemens Gamesa 4.3MW turbines.
Hiep Thanh wind farm is a joint venture between EcoTech Tra Vinh Renewables JSC, and its investors, Janakuasa, Ecotech Vietnam, Climate Investor One, which is managed by Climate Fund Managers and ST International.
