Renewable energy projects totalling over 2500MW have pre-qualified for an auction being conducted by Colombian regional power distributor Air-e.
Air-e said 39 wind and solar projects in the Atlantico, Magdalena and La Guajira regions have been selected from 22 companies from seven countries.

Air-e general manager Jhon Jairo Toro said the capacity of the projects amounts to more than five times the initial target demand requested by the company.
He said: “According to the schedule, the delivery of the offers will be on 31 January and the deadline for signing the contracts on 31 March.
“We are very satisfied with the results as of the auction date.”
