RWE Renewables Italia has ordered Vestas hardware for the 25MW Selinus wind farm to be located at Partanna and Castelvetrano in Sicily, Italy
The contract includes the supply and installation of six V136-4.2MW turbines.
Delivery is planned for the third quarter of 2022, while commissioning is expected for the fourth quarter of the same year.
RWE Renewables Italia country chair Paolo Raia said: “We look forward to collaborating with Vestas in Sicily.
“Once the turbines of our 17th onshore wind farm have been commissioned, they will generate enough green electricity to cover the annual needs of more than 22,000 Italian households.”
