Orion Energies has finalised a €28m agreement with Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France, BPCE Lease and Crédit Coopératif for the financing of 20MW of solar PV projects in France.
The financing was carried out for two separate portfolios which consist of 128 photovoltaic solar power plants with roofs and agricultural sheds spread over 14 departments in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Centre-Val-de-Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie and Pays de la Loire regions.
The production of these plants will be equivalent to the energy consumption of 7,800 households and will avoid the emission of more than 1,600 tons of CO2.
Orion Energies said that 2MW of capacity has already been commissioned.
The solar power plants will be added to the 170MW of power developed and 150MW of power plants operated in France as part of its growth and development trajectory, the company added.
