Offshore renewables technical advisory Kongstein has appointed Torgeir Naero as its new chief executive.
Naero (pictured), a qualified marine engineer, will take up his role from 2 January 2022, replacing Rune Tvedt, who also co-founded the company.
He was previously president and CEO of Vitek Group Nordic.
“I am very delighted to take on my new role. Kongstein plays an essential role in enabling the green shift in the energy industry. I am looking forward being part of that journey”, said Naero.
Kongstein’s chairman of the board Thorsten Schutt said: “We are extremely pleased that Torgeir Naero has accepted the position of CEO at Kongstein.
“He has an extensive international leadership experience from the maritime and offshore industries and has proved his capability to building successful organizations and businesses.
“We are assured that he will lead the company towards further growth in accordance with our markets and strategy”, said Schutt.
Kongstein has also made additional changes in the organizational structure and the board of directors aiming at strengthening the corporate profile and identity of the company.
The board members are Thorsten Schutt, Peter Blauwhoff, a founding partner of Kongstein, Sabine Weth and Jacob Kjaergaard.
