First power has been delivered from the first of 80 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines at the 640MW Yunlin offshore wind farm off Taiwan.
The developers said that turbines installed at Yunlin will be tested one by one in the near future.

The wind farm is fully prepared for future operations, and is expected to enter the operation stage of the first batch of turbines by the end of 2021, they said.
Yunlin is owned by WPD, TotalEnergies, Electricity Generating Public Company of Thailand and a consortium of Japanese investors led by Sojitz Corporation.
