Downing has opened a new Swedish office in Stockholm and made two new hires to as part efforts to establish a strategic base in the area.
Joining to help support the Nordics business is Magnus Olofsson (pictured) as senior Nordic advisor, who has over 25 years’ experience in renewable energy and electricity grids and is a board member of both the Swedish Hydro Association and Downing Hydro.
Olofsson is also the founder of the Swedish Energy Institute and a fellow at Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences.
Joining the team to bolster its construction management expertise and to lead the development of the Stockholm office is Per Johansson as portfolio director.
Previous to this appointment, Johansson was construction project manager at OX2 with a particular focus on Health and Safety, construction management and procurement.
Downing is also expanding the UK office with the hiring of associate director Roberto Casuccio, who has worked wind and solar investments, divestments and financings.
Prior to Downing, Roberto worked at Glennmont Partners for six years where he handled the majority of the company’s Italian transactions.
